As the song goes, “it’s the most wonderful time of the year,” so why not extend the cheer beyond the traditional Christmas season?
KidsPeace does just this with their annual Jingle in July. This event, which includes a 5K and a 1-mile fun walk, was held at Gring’s Mill last Saturday.
For the past two years, Lentz has proudly sponsored the Jingle in July event. Everyone dresses up in Christmas themed costumes and runs/walks to help raise money for KidsPeace. There are awards for best running times by age groups and best costume contests as well as raffles.
Lentz would like to thank KidsPeace for allowing us to yet again be a part of such a wonderful event. We would also like to thank Dick’s Sporting Goods for their generous donations for the raffle prizes this year.
We hope to see you all next year!
KidsPeace is a private charity organization that serves children’s behavioral and mental health needs. The organization provides these children with psychiatric care, educational services, residential treatment programs, and foster care programs. In addition to Jingle in July, they hold other events throughout the year, like Trick-or-Trot. These help to bring in money and donations to assist the children and families involved in KidsPeace.
